The charging infrastructure for electric vehicles project, MOESK-EV, implemented by PJSC MOESK (Rosseti Group company) since 2011 was presented in Open Innovations Forum 2015.

In the forum site, company employees have also demonstrated work of modern electric laboratory. The EV-based measuring electric laboratory is the first in Moscow and in Russia to enable Moscow power engineers to identify exact location of fault of buried power cables remotely, in online mode. This is especially important in the environment of dense development of the capital megacity. The laboratory is unique in a way: here, hardware and software have been designed specifically to solve certain tasks of the grid company.

Speaking about development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, PJSC Rosseti, under its All-Russian programme, has already installed about 60 charging stations, with about 30 of them – in Moscow and the Moscow Region.

The first charging station in the municipal parking lot was installed in Zamoskvorechie District in the beginning of October. Other charging stations, according to MOESK, will be also installed within the Third Ring Road, and in parking lots of trading and business centers. Besides, “Charging Stations within Walking Distance” promotion will be held until the end of the year: any person may apply for installation of the charging station by filling in the respective form in the company’s website. By results of the promotion, the map of demand for installation of the charging stations in the Moscow Region will be generated.

Open Innovations Forum is one of the largest events devoted to technologies of the future that is held in Russia annually under the auspices of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Government of Moscow. Forum participants include technology companies, startups, venture investors and public institutes for development.
