MOESK-EV project implementation experience will make it possible to disseminate charging infrastructure solutions to other regions of the Russian Federation. Representative of PJSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” (belongs to the Rosseti Group of Companies) shared this opinion at the round table meeting “Electricity-driven mobility: encourage or stop”. The electric transport development prospects were discussed within the framework of Rugrids-Electro 2015, an international electric power forum.

Sergey Stepnov, Deputy Director for Automation of Business Processes of PJSC “MOESK”, noted in his speech that PJSC “MOESK” in its work is currently guided by the integrated plan of electric transport development in Russia. In addition, the Company is closely working with the Government of Moscow. Today, the concept of development of the charging infrastructure includes installation of new charging stations at municipal parking lots in the capital as well as in the “places of attraction” for electric vehicles (petrol stations, shopping and leisure centers, business centers) with involvement of co-investors. In addition, by the end of this year, within the framework of the campaign “A charging station within a walking distance” anyone can file a request for installation of a charging station. The winning addresses will be announced at the beginning of 2016.

“We are ready to share our experience on deployment of a charging stations network, provide consultations to representatives of the regions that intend to build the charging infrastructure,” said Sergei Stepnov. “Many our colleagues from PJSC “ROSSETI” subsidiary companies are already implementing a number of projects within the framework of the all-Russia program on electric transport development. This joint work will make it possible to avoid many technological problems and errors that European countries faced at different times.”

According to PJSC “MOESK” experts, further popularization of electric vehicles in our country will require update of the legislative framework and adoption of new initiatives aimed at creating conditions for electric transport development. Given the interest to the topic, the Company started testing the model of commercial use of the charging stations network with creation of a unified commercial operator.
