The first stage of reconstruction of 110 kV substation “Kostino” is being completed by the specialists of branch of JSC “MOESK” Northern electric grids. This feeding center is strategically important for Moscow Region, since it implements the power supply of large town Korolev. In 2012 about RUR 87 mln were directed for the energy facility reconstruction.

The branch’s technical specialists installed and prepared a new power transformer with the capacity of 63 MVA to switching on. For the Company’s consumers it means that even in terms of the increased consumption of electric power in the autumn and winter period, switching off of one of the two transformers of the substation won’t result in a limitation of electric power supply.

The next reconstruction stage, planned for 2013, will be a substitute of the second transformer of 40 MVA by a more powerful one. Such sequence of the technical specialists’ actions of the Northern electric grids makes it possible first and foremost to “go to winter” with a more reliable scheme of power supply of all the city consumers, including industrial and social facilities. The fulfilled arrangements allow also to provide a perspective development of the adjoining grid infrastructure, subject to the increasing needs in electric power supplies to the consumers of all the categories and levels of voltage.
